Australia will entirely rewrite its rules and regulations on vaping in response to requests from health organisations and medical professionals.


The crackdown, which was announced on May 2 by federal Health Minister Mark Butler, would result in the outlawing of recreational vaping, the banning of the importing of non-pharmaceutical vapes, and rigors regulations on the tastes and packaging of the goods.


The new regulations still need to pass parliament in order to become law, and Butler said the federal government will need the support of its state and federal counterparts to put the changes into effect.
